Rebecca began dancing from the age of just 2, studying the Royal Academy of Dance and Cecchetti syllabi and spreading her training over four local dance schools, she then went on to train vocationally from the age of 14 at Elmhurst School for Dance until her graduate year, graduating at Kate Simmons Dance with a Diploma in Professional Dance.

Following graduating Rebecca spent a summer in San Francisco auditioning before returning to Europe and receiving a contract to dance for two months with the Romanian National Ballet for their premiere of Swan Lake. Rebecca then went on to dance with the company for a further four seasons, being promoted to Corephee in 2014.

In January 2017 she joined the SemperOper Ballett as a guest Corps de Ballet member for Swan Lake and Balanchine’s Symphony in C, following which she joined as a full Corps de Ballet member for the new season, 17/18.

Rebecca has danced works by George Balanchine, Jiri Kylian, Yuri Possokhov and Justin Peck and danced in many classic ballets such as La Bayarere, Giselle, La Sylphide and Le Corsiare. Her full repertoire is available on her website.

The World by Becca is a blog founded by Rebecca in 2016 to document her journey and life as a ballerina and to educate the next generation of dancers and professionals alike. She expanded this to her YouTube channel in early 2018 and proceeds to show exclusive backstage footage of the SemperOper Ballett and behind the scenes of their performances in the series ‘Stage Door Diaries’. In summer 2017 she was also made a Zarely Ambassador, a high-end ballet brand specialising in the perfect ballet tights.
