English National Ballet – Emerging Dancer Competition 2013

The English National Ballet has announced the judging panel for the Emerging Dancer Competition 2013 features a prima ballerina, Hip Hop dancer, an author and artistic directors:

Tamara Rojo, Artistic Director English National Ballet

Darcey Bussell CBE, President of the Royal Academy of Dance and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Judge

Tommy Fanzen, Runner up of BBC 1’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and Choreographer of ZooNation’s ‘Some like it HipHop’

Luke Jennings, Author and Dance Critic at The Observer

Jude Kelly, Artistic Director of Southbank Centre

The Emerging Dancer Competition is an annual competition for English National Ballet to recognise and nurture talent and encourage excellence in the Company. The final six nominees will perform two solos live for the impressive panel on 4 March 2013 at the Southbank Centre. The winner will be announced along with the recipient of The People’s Choice Award, which is voted for by members of the public.
